Hyderabad: Telangana Vaidya Vidhan Parishad Commissioner Dr K Ramesh Reddy on Wednesday issued orders suspending Dr Krishna, Superintendent, Community Health Centre, Achampet and Duty Doctor Dr Hari Babu for denying admission to a pregnant woman who had tested positive for Covid. After being denied admission to the CHC hospital, which comes under the jurisdiction of TVVP, the pregnant woman on Tuesday delivered on the road side outside the hospital.
“The Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Krishna and the Duty Doctor, Dr Hari Babu are placed under suspension with immediate effect and are surrendered to Director of Public Health with a request to initiate disciplinary action on both these doctors.
The Superintendent, District Hospital Nagarkurnool is directed to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a report to the Commissioner, TVVP immediately,” the suspension orders on Wednesday said.
