ACP’s wife found dead in Alwal

The wife of ACP P. Chandrasekhar was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Alwal, Hyderabad. Police registered a case and are probing family and health-related angles, with forensic teams collecting evidence.

Hyderabad: The wife of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) P Chandrasekhar, who is currently serving in the city, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Alwal on Sunday. 

According to the police, P Chandrasekhar and his wife Hemalatha (48) resided at Brindavan Colony in Alwal Police Station area.

On Sunday evening, Hemalatha was allegedly found hanging from a ceiling fan inside the house. On receiving information, Alwal police rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection. 

A Clues Team was also pressed into service to collect forensic evidence from the scene. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death. 

The police are examining all possible angles, including family-related issues and health concerns. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
