Jagtial: Disciplinary action was initiated against two Sub-Inspectors from the district with one of them being suspended, while the other was attached to the office of the Superintendent of Police.

In the first instance, Inspector General of Police, Multi Zone-I, Chandrashekhar Reddy suspended Raikal SI Ashok. Police sources said Ashok was found moving closely with a lady constable a few days ago. Her husband then detained the SI and lodged a complaint with the police, who conducted an inquiry and submitted a report to higher officials. Based on the enquiry report, the IG issued orders suspending the SI.

In the second incident,Korutla SI Swetha was attached to the SP office in connection with the suicide of a youngster. Swetha had manhandled one Shivaprasad after calling him to the station for counseling in connection with a family dispute case. Unable to tolerate humiliation, Shivaprasad attempted suicide and died while undergoing treatment in Gandhi hospital on Friday.

Reacting to the incident, the IG issued orders attaching the SI to the SP office.
