Actor Sushanth joins the Hyderabad Pickleball League as owner of team ALL STARS, with Sameer Verma as captain. Auction on August 20; matches run every Friday from October 11 to November 28.
Hyderabad: Actor Sushanth has ventured into the Hyderabad Pickleball League as the owner of one of the eight franchises, ALL STARS. Known for his interest in sports alongside his acting career, the actor described this as a passion-driven step that combines his love for fitness and entrepreneurship.
The team will be led by international shuttler Sameer Verma, who joins as the icon player and captain. The league held its live auction on Wednesday, August 20 to finalise the squad. Matches are scheduled every Friday from October 11 to November 28.
Speaking on his association, Sushanth expressed confidence that the initiative will help strengthen the pickleball community and provide a platform for talent. “I have always been a sports fanatic, and pickleball has been something I enjoy playing whenever I can. Through ALL STARS, I hope to contribute to the sport’s growth while enjoying the competition,” he said.
He also thanked the Hyderabad Pickleball League and Centre Court for the opportunity and urged fans to extend their support as the new season approaches.
