Actor Tanish recalled his experiences working with the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) when he was a member of the Executive Council (EC).
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, Tanish who contested from Prakash Raj’s panel in the recently concluded association polls, said he had witnessed many noisy fights during steering committee meetings earlier when actor Naresh held the president’s post.
“Naresh garu made some allegations that we posed hurdles for the work that he intended to do. How can we as EC members could stop him from doing association work? I have great respect for Mohan Babu’s family, Manchu Vishnu, and Manoj. But what happened on the polling day was quite unfortunate. Mohan Babu garu abused me. When actor Banerjee came to my rescue, Mohan Babu tried to attack him. Later, Vishnu and Manoj anna tried to console me. I couldn’t take the way I was treated. I felt I can’t express my opinion freely during any kind of meetings so it’s pointless to continue as EC member of MAA association,” said Tanish.
