Movies that depict grotesque realities of farmers are very meagre in mainstream cinema. V Samudra directorial Jai Sena, who was released on Friday, has something to tell about farmers and agriculture in general.
“After watching Jai Sena, every individual feel proud of our farmers who sweat out relentlessly in agriculture fields to produce grains, to feed the country. Like we salute the soldier at the frontiers, we should also respect and salute farmers who struggle round the clock protecting and raising crops.
The movie is also a mixture of action, love and sentiment in the end. I am thankful to actor Srikanth, Sunil, Sriram and Tarakaratna for acting in the movie the moment I narrated them the story. Another new lot of talent Karthikeya, Abhiram, Praveen, Harish Goutam too have performed well,” said director Samudra.
Comedian Sunil, who is playing the role of a cop in the movie, said Jai Sena was made keeping sacrifices of farmers in view. My dialogues in the movie are very powerful, he said. Actor Tanish heaped praises on the entire team to have come with a contemporary subject.
“Every visual of Jai Sena recalls me Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. In all his movies, Samudra tries to send out a social message and so does Jai Sena. I wish the entire team all success,” he added. The movie hit the screens in the Telugu States on Friday.
