Hyderabad: Decorating your home or office with more eco-friendly and sustainable products shouldn’t mean that you can only choose from neutral colours or monotonous finishes.

The Yellow Dwelling, a contemporary home furnishing and decor boutique brand from Bengaluru, has much to offer to those who are looking for sustainable home decor products with beautiful motifs.

After two stores in Bengaluru, the brand has now forayed into the city of Nizams, with the opening of their first franchise store in Gachibowli on August 15. The brand, which specialises in cotton and natural fibre home furnishings, has a huge range of products to choose from. From curtains to counterpanes and throws to napkins, The Yellow Dwelling carefully designs each collection keeping in mind the changing trends and seasons around the world. The brand has several collections for the customers to choose from, to help them add colours to their home.

Interestingly, the idea for this brand germinated when its founders Abhinayah Sundaramoorthy and Nandakumar Lakshmanan weren’t able to find the right decor for their home. “We visited several stores for decor items for our home but found similar motifs and colours everywhere. Also, we both are very eco-conscience, so we wanted to buy something sustainable. The unavailability of such products made us think about starting a company for eco-friendly products, which aren’t dull or boring,” shares Abhinayah.

Customers can also find some beautiful hand-woven baskets to quirky showpieces for their home at the store. Aditi Tiwari, franchise partner, shares that she is very confident of being received and welcomed warmly by the people of Hyderabad. “This city has a great eye for the finer things in life and is known for its touch of class in everything. With a booming cosmopolitan population of young professionals, we are certain our store will add real value to the already existing lineup of hand-made gems. The store has been designed to make one feel happy and at home, the minute one walks through the doors,” says Aditi.
