Adilabad drowning incident: Police issue stern warning over false claims circulating online
Following the accidental drowning of a youth in Mukhra (B) village, Adilabad police have issued a stern warning against the spread of false information on social media. A suspicious death case has been registered, and authorities are investigating.

Adilabad: Police on Sunday cautioned that stringent action would be taken against those spreading misinformation on social media over the drowning of a youngster at Mukhra (B) village in Echoda mandal.
Echoda Inspector Bandari Raju said that a suspicious death case had already been registered and an investigation was underway. He warned that anyone circulating false information about the incident and attempting to trigger communal tension would face strict action.
Police clarified that eight persons had gone to take a dip in an agricultural well, where one of them, identified as Shaik Bofiq, accidentally drowned. However, certain social media users were spreading false versions of the incident, creating unrest in the village.
