Adilabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress disciplinary action committee served another show-cause notice on Congress leader Kandi Srinivas Reddy.
The Congress took serious note of a clash between Srinivas Reddy and another leader, Sanjeeva Reddy, at the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting held in Utnoor recently. It issued a notice to Srinivas Reddy and sought an explanation within three days. It asked him why action should not be initiated against him for violating the party’s disciplinary norms.
A nominee of the party from the Adilabad Assembly constituency in the recent elections, Srinivas Reddy objected to Sanjeeva Reddy’s participation in the PAC meeting. He reportedly abused Sanjeeva Reddy for attending the event without being invited. Sanjeeva Reddy claimed that he had been associated with the Congress for quite a long time.
Meanwhile, the committee issued show-cause notices to six Congress leaders — Gaddam Thrimurthy, Akkala Venkateshwarlu, Ankathi Srinivas, Muthyala Srinivas, Lakkakula Srujan and Akula Durga Prasad — for obstructing Peddapalli MP Vamshikrishna during his tour of Dandepalli mandal in July. The leaders opposed Vamshikrishna’s tour and confronted him. They reportedly tore his flex posters, exposing internal bickering within the party.
