Adilabad: ‘Project dignity’ launched in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya
The mission, initiated jointly by Learning Curve and Bharat Petroleum Chemicals Limited, is aimed at providing sanitary pads to girls of KGBVs throughout the year for free.

Adilabad: Collector Rajarshi Shah inaugurated a project ‘Dignity Hygiene Sanitary Pads Mission’ at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Bangariguda village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Tuesday.
The mission, initiated jointly by Learning Curve and Bharat Petroleum Chemicals Limited, is aimed at providing sanitary pads to girls of KGBVs throughout the year for free. Shah opined that the provision of the pads would improve self-confidence and self-esteem among the girls.
He stated that each KGBV gets a machine containing the pads. Students can easily draw pads from the machines. He advised them to protect the environment while following personal hygiene by shunning superficial beliefs. District Educational Officer Praneetha, KGBVs coordinating officer Udaya Sri, Swapna of Learning Curve and BPCL dealer Monish Reddy, sales officer Nagaraju and many others were present.
