Adilabad: Sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi on Sunday distributed booklets highlighting the Congress government’s unfulfilled poll promises to residents of Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal. The booklets listed the six guarantees made by the party during the Assembly elections.
Meenakshi said the Congress had won public support under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy by making what she called “false promises,” and alleged that none of them had been fulfilled even after 20 months in office. She pointed out that the party had pledged to implement its guarantees within 100 days of assuming power, but had failed to deliver on any.
The sarpanch said that the Congress government had not extended the promised enhanced Rythu Bharosa support to farmers. It also failed, she said, to implement the Rs.2,500 monthly aid to women, to increase social security pensions to Rs.4,000, and to give a tola of gold to Kalyana Laxmi beneficiaries. She further accused the government of betraying Dalits by not releasing the Rs. 12 lakh per beneficiary under the Ambedkar Abhaya Hastam scheme.
