Hyderabad: Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospitals on Monday launched a comprehensive Covid-19 patient guide on Covid second wave. One of the key challenges these days is to be able to check Covid misinformation that is flooding the social media and online platforms. The patient guide is aimed at achieving this by providing accurate information, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals said.

During the online release function, Dr Nageshwar Reddy said “If we handle Covid correctly, don’t self-medicate at home, identify early warning signals, understand relevance of drugs like Remdesivir, Tocilizumab, etc., I think we can replace the fear gripping our society with an objective management of the disease and improve outcomes,” he said.

The hospital also launched a seven-episode lecture series AIG Protocol Series covering all aspects of Covid management. The episodes will be broadcasted live on AIG Hospitals’ YouTube channel every day between 4 pm and 5.30 pm till Monday, May 17. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar formally released the patient guide in a virtual meet.
