AIMIM chief slams assassination of Ali Khamenei as ‘Immoral, Unlawful’
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi strongly condemned the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling it unlawful, immoral, and a violation of international law. He urged the Indian government to play a constructive role in de-escalating tensions.
Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday condemned the attack on Iran, terming the killing of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as inhuman, unlawful, immoral and a serious violation of international law.
Owaisi emphasised that the war must end without delay and urged the Government of India to play a constructive role in de-escalation and peace efforts. He expressed hope that the BJP-led government would unequivocally condemn such unlawful acts of violence and the killing of Ali Khamenei
Terming the attack cowardly and inhuman, he said the killing of innocent civilians, including school-going children, is shocking and exposes the hypocrisy of those who claim to stand for human rights. He also cautioned that if the war continues, it will lead to a rise in global oil prices, affecting people worldwide.
