Ajay Kumar hands out CMRF cheques to beneficiaries

Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Thursday distributed Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques to the beneficiaries at his camp office here on Thursday.
He along with SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar and Mayor P Neeraja distributed 12.46 lakhs worth cheques to the 35 members beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, he informed that so far financial aid worth Rs 7.60 crore has been given to the 1,781 beneficiaries under the CMRF scheme.
Ajay Kumar said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was giving priority to the welfare of all people in the State. The people in Telangana were happy in the TRS regime as the government was extending support to every section in the society.
Later in the day, the Minister handed over Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques by visiting the residences of the beneficiaries in several municipal divisions in the city. He also presented sarees to the newlyweds at his own expense and offered them sweets.
The Minister had also laid foundation stone for road extension works in the 7th, 13th and 14th divisions and directed the officials to complete works as per schedule by ensuring quality in the works.
MLC, B Lakshminarayana, DCC Bank Chairman, K Nagabhushanam, Municipal Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi, TRS leader Gundala Krishna and others were present.
