Hyderabad: To celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of cohesion between the people of our country, CBSE has initiated Ek Bharath Shresth Bharat wherein schools shall collaborate with the paired States of Harayana and Telangana.
Akshara Vaagdevi International School in collaboration with Pallavi Model schools executed events incorporating few programmes on October 7.
The event commenced by Akshara International School teacher Manjula who welcomed the guest Maimur, Principal of Sawan Public School, parents, teachers and students.
Maimur addressed the audience of the virtual gathering and appreciated the team for taking the initiative on collaboration.
The students of the guest State stage a skit on Ramayan which was appreciated and applauded by all. Keeping the festive mood and spirits high the students of Akshara performed Bhathukamma, the traditional dance of Telangana. The students of AVIS presented a slide show highlighting the significance of Dussehra celebrations across India.
Towards the end of the event, we had the Suraksha Club-Physical Health-Safety and Wellbeing-CSR by Mr Srikanth, counsellor of the school spoke about the importance of the health condition of the students and encouraged them to take up the social responsibility by helping the needy.
The club was inaugurated by Maimur. He appreciated the efforts put up by the students and acknowledged his pleasure to be a part of this programme that enables everyone to gain knowledge of diverse cultures and traditions.
The assembly ended with the principal ma’am encouraging students to embrace each other’s differences and celebrate people’s uniqueness. Srilatha proposed vote of thanks.
