Kamareddy: A alcoholic 32-year-old man, who had been allegedly harassing his wife for nine years, was killed by his father-in-law and mother-in-law at Sadasiva Nagar mandal headquarters in Kamareddy district on Tuesday.
Mahesh, a native of Shabdi village in Kamareddy mandal, got married to Roja nine years ago. He was an alcoholic and on Tuesday, beat up Roja in front of her parents and tried to attack his in-laws too in a drunken state. Vexed by his behaviour, Mahesh’s mother-in-law Gangavva and his father-in-law Sattaiah hit him with sticks and rods, killing him on the spot. They later informed the SS Nagar police and turned themselves in to the police.
Sadasiva Nagar SI Naresh Kumar visited the spot, conducted an inquiry and took the two into custody. The body was sent to a hospital for postmortem.
