Ali, Harshitha and Saanvi clinch table tennis titles
Mohammed Ali and T L Harshitha claimed top honours in the men’s and women’s singles, while K Sri Saanvi secured two titles in the Telangana State-ranking table tennis tournament at GSM Indoor Hall
Hyderabad: Mohammed Ali of Somnath Ghosh Ultimate Table Tennis Academy and T L Harshitha of Anandnagar Welfare Association Sports Academy won the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the fifth Shree Gujarati Seva Mandal Telangana State-ranking table tennis tournament at GSM Indoor Hall here on Tuesday.
In the men’s final, Ali scored an 11-13, 11-6, 11-4, 11-7, 11-7 win against Dr V Chandra Chud, while Harshitha got the better of seasoned campaigner Nikhat Banu of Reserve Bank of India 3-11, 11-8, 11-2, 11-9, 11-6 in the women’s final.
K Sri Saanvi (SPARS) bagged a ‘double’ by winning the girls under-15 and under-17 titles.
