Sircilla: District Collector Anurag Jayanthi on Wednesday said all arrangements had been made for the Karimnagar Local Authorities Constituency MLC election scheduled on December 10.
The Collector and Superintendent of Police Rahul Hegde inspected arrangements for LAC polling in Zilla Parishad office here.
Speaking on the occasion, he sought the cooperation of the candidates and political parties to ensure peaceful polling. There are 201 voters including male-88 and female-113 in the district. Of them, Councillors-66, ZPTCs-12, MPTCs-121 and two ex-officio members are there.
The Collector instructed ZP Chief Executive Officer Goutham Reddy to look-after polling arrangements and take steps to follow Covid norms by the voters.
Hegde said tight security arrangements had been made at polling station for the polls. The Flying squad, static surveillance teams, and video surveillance teams have already been constituted. Besides arranging picketing in four important routes, patrolling and striking forces were also deployed.
Informing that banned instruments would not be allowed into the polling station, he advised the elector to exercise their voters in a peaceful manner and wanted the voters to approach local police or dial 100 if anybody tries to create a law and order problem.
ZP CEO, In-charge DRO T Srinivasa Rao, DSP Chandrashekhar, Tahsildhar Vijay Kumar, Sircilla Municipal Commissioner Sammaiah, CIs Anil Kumar and Upender and others participated in the programme.
