Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday announced that all students studying in government schools would soon be provided with ‘Modi Kits’, regardless of their numbers. The kits that were distributed in other States by the BJP contain essentials and clothing material.
The Minister, who has undertaken an initiative to distribute 20,000 bicycles to Class X students in government schools within his Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, launched the distribution drive at a programme held at Ambedkar Stadium here. Addressing students on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar urged them to work hard and live up to the expectations of their parents, who were striving to ensure their education and overall development.
Highlighting the Centre’s focus on education, he stated that Rs 8 lakh crore had been allocated to the education sector over the past 11 years. In contrast to the Rs 68,728 crore allocation by the UPA government in 2014–15, the budgetary allocation for education has increased to Rs 1,28,650 crore in 2025–26 under the NDA regime, he said.
