Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Tuesday dismissed as imaginary and unfounded the allegations of some individuals and organisations that there were irregularities in the recent e-auction of Kokapet and Khanamet plots. The e-auctions were conducted in a transparent manner, the government said.

In a statement here, the government said the State and Central government agencies that were involved in the e-auctions were considering filing legal defamation cases against such people if they continue with the allegations.

The allegations levelled at this point regarding restricting the competition, low realisation of bid amount or favouring certain firms were imaginary, unfounded and not based on facts. These allegations are at some level aimed at maligning the extremely transparent process and the reputation of State and Central government agencies.

CBRE, a special agency, was engaged to reach out to the potential clients through emails, direct communication and by actively engaging them. Further, an email was sent by HMDA to Indian High Commissions and embassies located in important countries directly as also to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) which in turn sent a copy of e-auction notification, brochures and other relevant details to various missions overseas.

Further, during the pre-bid meeting held on June 25, a record number of 80 interested firms had participated, making it one of the most successful pre-bid meetings.

The online bid process was conducted by MSTC, a Central government agency specialised in conducting e-auctions. This was done to ensure that the entire process of auction is done in a transparent manner without giving any scope to any possible complaint. Every participant
was to register at www.mstcecommerce.com/auctionhome/govts/index.jsp site by paying a registration fee and the participant( the person authorised) accordingly was issued a log-in and a password as a buyer.
