Hyderabad: The Nampally Criminal Court on Monday adjourned the hearing in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case to July 29, after several suspects failed to appear before the court.
The case pertains to the stampede that occurred during a special screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, in which a woman lost her life and several others were injured. Police have filed a charge sheet against 23 accused, including the actor.
Ahead of the hearing, the court had indicated that further proceedings would continue only if all the suspects were present, as some had remained absent during the previous hearing.
While Allu Arjun attended the court proceedings virtually from Mumbai, the remaining suspects did not appear before the court. Consequently, the court postponed the matter and scheduled the next hearing for July 29.
