Ameenpur police book suspended Jubilee Hills CI Srinivasulu Reddy for rape
A Hyderabad police inspector, U Srinivasulu Reddy, has been booked for rape, culpable homicide, and other charges after a woman accused him of sexual exploitation, blackmail, and forcing her to undergo an abortion. He has been suspended by Commissioner VC Sajjanar.
Sangareddy: Ameenpur police registered rape, culpable homicide, IT Act and cases under several other sections against Inspector U Sreenivasulu Reddy following a complaint filed by a woman living in Jayalakshmi Nagar under the police station limits.
Following her complaint, Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar suspended Sriniuvasulu Reddy, who was working as SHO of Jubilee Hills police station, from duties on July 28.
Srinivasulu Reddy, who worked as CI Ameenpur in the past, befriended the victim when she approached him in a case. In her complaint, the woman said that the CI sexually exploited her. She said that he recorded her videos and threatened her with serious consequences if she revealed the relationship to anyone.
The victim said that he forced her to undergo an abortion when she became pregnant after he exploited her. She said that the CI also forcibly took a huge amount from her.
