Amit Jhingran takes charge as SBI’s Hyderabad Circle CGM

Hyderabad: Amit Jhingran has assumed charge as the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India (SBI), Hyderabad Circle on July 12, according to a press release.

A banker with three decades of experience in all facets of commercial banking, including retail credit, deposit mobilisation, international banking operations and branch management, Amit joined SBI as probationary officer in 1991 in Lucknow Circle.


Prior to joining SBI, Hyderabad he served as the Chief Executive Officer at SBI Chicago, USA, and steered the International Banking operations at Chicago to greater heights.

Amit Jhingran took charge from O.P.Mishra, who has been elevated as Deputy Managing Director of the Bank and posted at Corporate Centre, Mumbai as DMD (HR) & CDO, the press release added.
