Andhra Pradesh: Four dead, dozen critically injured in road accident on Chittoor outskirts

Four bus passengers were killed and a dozen were injured when a bus rammed into a parked truck on the road on Chittoor town outskirts

Chittoor: Four passengers of a bus were killed on the spot and 12 other injued criticially in a road accident on the outskirts of Chittoor town in th early hours of Friday. The injured have been shifted to the CMC hospital in Vellore and their condition is stated to be critical.

Police said the ill-fated bus rammed into a stationary truck on the road and skidded off for over 20 yards. The bus came to a halt only after hitting an electric pole. Four passengers were killed in instantly.


The private travels bus was on its way to Madurai from Tirupati. The district collector inspected the accident site and have asked officials to extend proper medicare to the injured. Police have begun investigations.
