Kadapa: Polling in Badvel Assembly constituency by-election on Saturday was peaceful and 59.58 per cent of the voters cast their vote till 5 p.m., according to officials. The polling continued till 7 p.m.
Chief Election Officer Vijayayanand was monitoring the byelection process through webcasting. He said the polling was going on peacefully without any untoward incident. Though the Telugu Desam Party did not contest the by-election, its functionaries were seen working for the BJP candidate on the day.
