Andhra Pradesh weather: Thunderstorms forecast in Rayalaseema for three days

The meteorological department has forecast thunderstorms in parts of Rayalaseema for three days from September 28. Rainfall is likely to be accompanied by winds reaching up to 50 kmph, with isolated thunderstorms also expected in Coastal Andhra and Yanam.

Amaravati: The meteorological department on Monday forecast thunderstorms in parts of Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh for three days from September 28.

The department noted that the rainfall will be accompanied by strong winds reaching up to 50 km per hour in Rayalaseema, and also isolated places in Coastal Andhra and Yanam, an official release said.

“An upper air circulation lies over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal,” it said.

According to the department, lower tropospheric northwesterly winds prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
