Warangal: TRS senior leaders Errabelli Pradeep Rao, former Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao, Rajanala Srihari and others felicitated several Auxiliary Nurse and Midwives (ANMs), and Asha workers for their wonderful services in checking spread of the Covid-19 at the Shiva Convention Hall in Warangal East constituency as a part of the ‘Mahila Bandhu’ programme here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Rao said that they had honoured the ANMs and Asha workers ahead of the International Women’s Day responding to the call given by TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, and working president and IT Minister K T Rama Rao. “The State government is taking several steps for the welfare of women. We are honouring the ANMs and Asha workers who are part of the medical and health department for their services during the pandemic Covid-19,” he said.
Former Director of the SAAP Rajanala Srihari said that the government was also giving high priority to the medical and health department by improving the infrastructure and setting up new medical colleges across the State. “The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has laid the foundation for the setting up of a modern superspeciality hospital in Warangal,” he reminded. TRS leaders Tonupunuri Veeranna, Nagavelli Praveen, Maganti Shiva and others were present.
