The area covered by Khammam hub is divided into three routes through which the samples reach the hub every day by 2 pm and the test results are sent to concerned hospitals by evening hours, the Nodal Officer said adding ‘Everything is moving smoothly and greatly helping the rural people to get the medical tests done’.
Dr Saidulu informed that work was under way to establish another diagnostic hub at Sathupalli in the district and it would cover Kallur division and public health facilities around it. The site has already been identified and construction will soon begin, he added.
The hub at Kothagudem equipped with 10 staffers is conducting around 300 tests per day. The samples are being collected from 15 PHCs, five UPHs, Paloncha Area Hospital and District Hospital, informed the hub’s Nodal Officer Dr Bhavu Singh.
