Mancherial: Another farmer fell at the feet of a revenue official, requesting him to procure paddy at a procurement centre at Padthanpalli village in Hajipur mandal on Friday.

The farmer fell at the feet of Additional Collector Chandraiah, pleading with him to buy the paddy. He regretted that farmers were struggling to protect their paddy produce shifted to procurement centres for around a month. He stated that they were forced to stay awake to safeguard the grains due to unseasonal rains. He added that they were missing family functions.

CPI (ML) New Democracy Area secretary Donda Prabhakar said that farmers were facing inconvenience in selling paddy grains produced despite several hardships.
