Another matrimonial ad goes viral, is termed to be fake

The advertisement went viral when Comedian Aditi Mittal shared a snippet of the matrimonial ad on Twitter. However, A BBC report recently confirmed that the ad is nothing but just a prank.

Matrimonial advertisements in the recent days have caught the frenzy of netizens. The recent such advertisement for a groom who got fully vaccinated. What’s more, the girl who posted the ad from Goa wanted a groom who had the same vaccine – Covishield — as her. The ad went viral for the new kinds of requests put up for matrimony. However, the ad was termed to be fake within a few days of it going viral.

This time, another hilarious matrimonial advertisement of a 30+ woman, educated, working in the “social sector, against capitalism” is seeking a groom between the ages of 25 and 28. The “opinionated feminist with short hair and piercings” added other requirements in the man should be that he was well-built, knew cooking and wasn’t a “burper or farter”. Also, he should be the only son with an established business, a bungalow or at least a 20-acre farmhouse.


The advertisement went viral when Comedian Aditi Mittal shared a snippet of the matrimonial ad on Twitter. However, A BBC report recently confirmed that the ad is nothing but just a prank.

BBC tried to reach the “opiniated feminist” through the email address mentioned in the matrimonial ad (curbyourpatriarchy@gmail.com). The report revealed that the ad emerged from a prank between the woman, her brother and her best friend.
