Hyderabad: The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Manavendra Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VrC, VSM, ADC, visited the Air Force Station, Begumpet on Saturday. He was received by Group Captain Sunil Tomar, Station Commander, AFS Begumpet. A guard of honour was presented to the AOC-IN-C by the Air Warriors and a hollow square was also organised by the station personnel.
In his address, the AOC-IN-C stressed upon the importance of training in transforming the IAF into one of the most potent forces in the world. He also exhorted everyone to maintain service ethos, high standard of discipline, physical fitness including wellbeing of their families.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Air Marshal Manavendra Singh was commissioned in the flying branch of IAF in 1982 as a helicopter pilot. In a career spanning nearly 39 years, he has flown a wide variety of helicopters and trainer aircraft. He is also an alumni of Defence Services Staff College Wellington, Joint Forces Staff College (USA) and Army War College, Mhow.
