Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Friday constituted a House Committee to probe Pegasus spyware allegedly used by the previous Telugu Desam Party government.

YSRCP legislator Bhumana Karunakar Reddy will head the committee which has Bhagyalakshmi, Abbaiah Choudary, Kolusu Parthasarathy, Amarnath, Merugu Nagarjuna and Maddal Giridhar as members.

The decision to constitute the house committee was taken in the wake of uproar in the House based on the allegation by Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee in her state assembly that Chandrababu Naidu who was then Chief Minister of AP, had purchased the spyware after she refused to buy it.
