Apollo Diagnostics opens first drive-through Covid testing centre in Hyderabad
In the coming days, Apollo Diagnostics will set-up similar facilities across the city with each facility having the capacity to collect samples of at least 250 persons in a day.
Hyderabad: The first drive-through Covid testing centre in Hyderabad, being operated by Apollo Diagnostics at Meridian School, Madhapur, became operational on Friday. Individuals can now drive through in their four-wheelers, register and allow the healthcare workers to collect their samples for Covid RT-PCR tests, while sitting in their cars.
In the coming days, Apollo Diagnostics will set-up similar facilities across other parts of the city with each facility having the capacity to collect samples of at least 250 persons in a day.
Individuals who enter the drive-through Covid testing facility will register through the QR code system and complete the payment process through online. Later, the healthcare workers collects the samples and Apollo Diagnostics will deliver the report within a time frame of 48 and 72 hours. The entire process right from registration to collecting samples will be contactless.
