Hyderabad: Apple News+ has introduced a new daily brainteaser for subscribers in the U.S. and Canada — the Emoji Game, a unique word puzzle that challenges users to complete short phrases using emojis.

Described as both “approachable and fun,” the Emoji Game is the latest addition to the Apple News+ suite of puzzles, which already includes crosswords, Quartiles, and sudoku. Players must choose from a selection of emoji — including Genmoji created using Apple Intelligence — to complete three short phrases, each accompanied by a clue. Opting to view the clue, however, adds to the user’s total move count.

“Emoji Game is the perfect addition to the Apple News+ suite of word and number puzzles, turning the emoji we use every day into a brainteaser that’s approachable and fun,” said Lauren Kern, editor-in-chief of Apple News.

The game also features Game Center integration, allowing users to track progress on leaderboards and share results with friends through Messages, Mail, or social media. In addition to daily challenges, archived puzzles are available under the Puzzles section in the Apple News app.

Later this fall, Emoji Game will also be accessible through the upcoming Apple Games app — a new platform designed to help users rediscover old favorites, explore new games, and engage more easily with friends.

Apple News+ subscribers also enjoy content from over 400 top publications, including local dailies like The Washington Post, Tampa Bay Times, and The Minnesota Star Tribune. Additional features include a dedicated Sports section and a recently introduced Food section offering recipes and culinary content from leading food publishers.
