Hyderabad: Apple gadget lovers may have to wait longer than expected to get their hands on the latest Watch Series 7 and the iPhone 13. Even as a report claims that Apple has pushed the delivery dates for its select Watch models in the US beyond the October 15 release date, the scenario in India is no different.
A check on the Apple’s India website shows that the Apple Watch Series 7 models – both aluminium and stainless steel – are likely to be delivered only between November 5-15. This technically means that even if you pre-order the Watch Series 7 today you will have to wait for more than a month to actually use it. While the Stainless-Steel version shows a delay of 4-5 weeks, the Starlight series with an aluminium case is expected to be delivered post November 13 – almost 5-6 weeks of delay.
Similarly, the iPhone 13 which was previously showing a delivery of October end is also getting pushed for delivery with a few versions of the smartphones getting delivered only in the first week of November.
As per reports, the delay is due to the shortage of supply of semiconductors and other key components. While Apple has not made any official statement in this regard, some reports also claim that local lockdowns in a few places have delayed the process of manufacturing.
