Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri police solved the murder case of Vijay Kumar Reddy (32), a railway employee, reported earlier this month at PVN Colony in New Mirjalguda in Malkajgiri, and found that his relative, an Army personnel, allegedly killed him.
Police said the suspect Srinivas Reddy, currently posted in Uttarakhand, was a close relative of Vijay Kumar’s wife Bhavya. Allegedly bearing grudge against Vijay Kumar for marrying Bhavya, since he was attracted in her, Srinivas Reddy decided to kill him. On May 8, when Vijay Reddy was alone in the house, Srinivas reached there and after an argument, hacked him to death with a sickle.
A team from the Malkajgiri police has gone to Uttarakhand and detained him. He confessed to the murder, police said.
