Kumram Bheem Asifabad: ASP Chittaranjan and his team rescued 100 cattle kept ready to be illegally shifted to slaughter houses at Goyagaon village in Wankidi mandal on Monday.

Chittaranjan, clad in civil dress, conducted surprise raids on three spots known for hiding the cattle. He and his staffers seized 100 cattle at the spot and handed over the cows to local police for further action. The traders fled the spot upon receiving information about the police move.

The ASP warned that stringent action would be taken against the cattle traders for transporting cows and bullocks by overloading. He cautioned that preventive detention would be invoked against habitual offenders.
