Arrangements being made to resume vaccination: Talasani
As there were a few technical glitches pertaining to vaccine registration, a plan is being tabled to make sure the second jab is given at the same vaccination centre where the first dose was administered, said the Minister
Hyderabad: Arrangements are being made to ensure that administration of the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine is not delayed due to technical glitches, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said on Monday.
“We are expecting vaccines to be delivered by today evening. As there were a few technical glitches pertaining to vaccine registration, a plan is being tabled to make sure the second jab is given at the same vaccination centre where the first dose was administered. The person needs to show Aadhaar card as proof,” he said, adding that the State had not received vaccines from the Centre in the last three days.
Clearing the air on inter-State commuting of ambulances, the Minister said that the issue was blown out of proportion, adding that the State government was never against outsiders getting treated in the city. “Getting a bed confirmation by the hospital administration before coming to the city was the only request made by the government,” he said after reviewing Covid containment measures in the city.
Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, GHMC, police and district officials attended the meeting, during which it was decided that an extensive sanitation drive would be launched on Tuesday. The State Disaster Response& Fire Services would also be roped in to execute Covid containment measures in the city.
