Hyderabad: Following the arrest and subsequent bail of BRSV leaders Gellu Srinivas Yadav, Ramesh, and Narsingh, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has strongly criticised the actions of the police in Telangana. In a statement, he questioned the violation of democratic norms behind the arrests.

Rama Rao raised concerns about whether questioning the government and raising issues leads to legal cases. He criticised the arrest of individuals supporting school children and questioning the quality of food provided.

He condemned the suppression of voices speaking out on issues such as Gurukul problems, student suicides and child deaths. He expressed outrage over the overnight detention of student leaders without informing their whereabouts.

Labelling the arrest of BRSV leaders as undemocratic, Rama Rao demanded immediate action against those responsible for the arrests.
