Arthroplasty Arthroscopy Summit highlight cutting-edge techniques to treat joint pathologies

Hyderabad: Over 250 orthopaedic surgeons participated in the one-day 8th Arthroplasty Arthroscopy Summit 2024 (AAS) organised by Telangana Orthopaedic Surgeon’s Association and Twin Cities Orthopaedic Society at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills.
The summit featured discussions on close to 50 orthopaedic procedures and techniques, which were delivered by senior national and local faculty, Course Director, AAS ad senior joint replacement surgeon, Dr Mithin Aachi said.
The comprehensive teaching exercise was designed to guide young orthopaedic surgeons in honing both their knowledge and skills, particularly in identifying proper surgical indications and mastering techniques, said senior replacement surgeon and Organizing Chairman, AAS, Dr N. Somashekar Reddy.
The summit included insights into the role of robotics in joint replacements, groundbreaking single-stage procedure for cartilage lesions in the knee aimed at preventing the onset of arthritis.
