Hyderabad: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind on Tuesday said that he would lodge a complaint with the Lok Sabha Privileges Committee and explain what he alleged as an “attack’ on him by the ruling party leaders at Issapally village in Nizamabad district on Tuesday.
He said his vehicle was damaged and several BJP activists suffered injuries in the incident. Arvind said officers were not present at the Police Commissioner’s office when he came to lodge a complaint after the attack.
He added that the police failed to take necessary precautionary measures even after giving prior information about the plans of ruling party leaders during his visit to the villages in the district.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP State president Bandi Sanjay condemned what he termed as ‘attack on Arvind’. On coming to know about the incident, he spoke to Arvind over phone and enquired about the incident.
Sanjay took strong exception to the police for failing to take precautionary steps during Arvind’s visit in the district.
