The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad in its forecast on Tuesday predicted generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain in the city for the next 24 to 48 hours.

The weather department’s assessment pointed out that the depression over south coastal Odisha yesterday had moved west-northwestwards and is likely to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area in the next 12 hours.

Across the state, light to moderate rain or thunder showers are very likely to occur at most places on Wednesday. However, very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Adilabad, Mancherial districts.
