Hyderabad: A delegation of All India Majlis –e –Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) led by party president, Asaduddin Owaisi, met Hyderabad Police Commissioner, C V Anand and made a complaint against Swami Yati Narsinganand of Ghaziabad demanding action against him for making blasphemous remarks against Prophet Mohammed during a speech.

The delegation sought a case to be registered against Swami Yati Narsinganand under various Sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Speaking to media persons after submitting the representation, Asaduddin Owaisi said Yati Narsinganand made condemnable remarks against Prophet Mohammed.

“You are all aware, Yati Narsinganand was arrested previously for similar offence and released on bail on a condition that he will not repeat such act again. We demand his bail should be cancelled immediately,” he said.

The Supreme Court said the police should immediately take suo-motu action and register cases in such cases. “We submitted a copy of the order of the judgement to the Commissioner of Police and we expect action will be initiated,” Owaisi said.

The AIMIM demanded that the Cybercrime police should also initiate measures to immediately remove the content from social media platforms.

“Yati Narsinganand in planned manner is repeatedly making blasphemous comments and I am confident he enjoys full support of Uttar Pradesh government,” he said and appealed to the Prime Minister of India to take action at the earliest.
