Ashvik Kumar wins juniors title in Brilliant Trophy chess tournament

A Ashvik Kumar won the juniors title with 5.5 points while Gade Vishal clinched the open category at the Brilliant Trophy chess tournament held at Brilliant Grammar High School in Hyderabad on Sunday

Hyderabad: A Ashvik Kumar (Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet) won the juniors title, scoring 5.5 points out of six rounds, while Atharv and Vikyaath Thallapally finished second and third with five points each out of six rounds in the Brilliant Trophy chess tournament at Brilliant Grammar High School here on Sunday.

In the Open category, Gade Vishal won the event by scoring 5.5 points out of six rounds, while Aashish Reddy Akavaram and Thota Jovenkatraman finished second and third with five points each out of six rounds.


Open category: 1. Gade Vishal, 2. Aashish Reddy Akavaram, 3. Thota Jovenkatraman, 4. K Perumalu, 5. Tarun Sai Thota, 6. Shreyansh Vudayagiri, 7. Challa Shaahanth, 8. M Satyanarayana, 9. Nigama Sree, 10. Rigved Reddy.

Boys: Under-15: 1. K Mithil Amor, 2. Shiva Kumar Yemba.
Under-13: 1. K Atharva, 2. T Vikhyaath.

Under-11: 1. Sathya Karthikeya, 2. K Jathin Reddy.
Under-9: 1. P Yuvaan, 2. R Harvin.

Under-7: 1. T Rehansh, 2. M Hemanshu.

Girls: Under-15: 1. Himaja Prakhya, 2. Sunishka.

Under-13: 1. K Saieesha, 2. M Sahasra.

Under-11: 1. Madina Fatima, 2. Ch Sanvitha.
