Ashwath, Vedha Ashritha claim butterfly doubles at State swimming meet

A Ashwath and G Vedha Ashritha emerged as double gold medallists in the butterfly events at the Telangana State Sub-Junior and Junior Inter-District Swimming Championship. Ashwath won the boys’ 50m and 100m butterfly races, while Vedha dominated the girls’ events

Hyderabad: A Ashwath bagged a double by winning the boys’ 100m butterfly and 50m butterfly events at the Telangana State Sub-Junior and Junior Inter-District Swimming Championship held at the GMC Balayogi Sports Complex (Gachibowli) here.

In the girls’ category, G Vedha Ashritha of Medchal-Malkajgiri also won two gold medals in the 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly events.
