Assistant lineman electrocuted while fixing power line in Siddipet
An assistant lineman died of electrocution while fixing a loose power line in Siddipet district. The worker had reportedly taken line clearance but accidentally came in contact with a live wire. Authorities have registered a case and begun an inquiry

Siddipet: An assistant lineman, Bhukya Suresh (40), who was trying to correct a loose hanging power line, got electrocuted at Narayanpur village in Koheda mandal on Sunday.
Police said the villagers had complained about the low hanging power lines and Suresh had gone to the village to straighten the wires by pulling them taut. In the process, he got electrocuted.
It was said that Suresh had got line clearance from the substation before taking up the work. However, he accidentally came in touch with live electric wires and died on the spot.
The incident left the farmers in shock. The police registered a case. The Transco officials were also probing the incident to find out the reason.
