Hyderabad: Auction house AstaGuru unveils its annual Heirloom jewellery, silver and timepieces in an online auction. The auction will be featuring a broad selection of 120 lots, which includes an offering of some of the finest heirloom and vintage jewellery, and silver that celebrates rich craftsmanship from Europe and the Indian sub-continent, and also some of the rarest and most exquisite timepieces globally.
The collection ranges from traditional Indian masterpieces to Art Deco period jewellery featuring high-grade diamonds, Basra pearls, Colombian and Zambian emeralds, Burmese rubies, and many more gemstones. The auction also presents several signed pieces by Piaget, Tiffany & Co., Collingwood Jewellers Ltd. London, and celebrated Indian jewellery houses such as Gazdar Jewellers, Narotamdas Bhau, and Manilal Chimanlal & Co. Bombay.
The highest price in the auction is set for Lot 47, An Impressive two-row Basra pearl necklace, circa 1940, estimated at Rs 1.25 – 1.5 crores ($ 173,611 – 208,333). This graceful necklace comprises 107 finely matched and graduated Basra pearls, each interspaced with seed pearls. The necklace is secured with a white gold clasp set with round cut diamonds.
