Atal Pension Yojana reviewed in Hyderabad
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) conducted an outreach programme in Gachibowli for banks and Lead District Managers of Telangana. Chief General Manager Pravesh Kumar highlighted the success of the Atal Pension Yojana (APY), noting that 8.59 crore subscribers have been enrolled nationwide.

Hyderabad: Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) conducted an outreach programme for banks, LDMs of Telangana at Gachibowli here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the authority Chief General Manager Pravesh Kumar highlighted major achievements of the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and said all banks have enrolled 8.59 crore subscribers under APY Scheme in the country.
In Telangana, banks achieved 61 per cent of their annual APY targets for 2025-26, he said and hoped that the state would surpass the targets. Emphasizing that APY has significant scope in rural areas as well as urban areas, he urged Banks to actively enrol employees working in the unorganised sector.
SBI Deputy General Manager Priyabrata Mishra said the APY scheme aimed at providing social security to the citizens at old age needs to be promoted in a big way. He said that during 2025-26 Banks in the State enrolled 2,98,658 subscribers till December 31. Nabard DGM Deepthy Sunil, RBI AGM Mohammad Zayaur Rahman, UBI Head-ULA Deepak N S also spoke.
