Auto driver ends life over financial distress in Sangareddy
An auto driver from Sangareddy, Dappu Balaraj, was found dead in Kandi lake after reportedly facing financial hardship linked to the State’s free bus travel scheme for women. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Sangareddy: Financial difficulties reportedly drove an auto driver to take his own life at Ismailkhanpet in Kandi mandal. The deceased was identified as Dappu Balaraj (38), who had been earning a living by operating an auto in and around Sangareddy town.
Balaraj reportedly faced a severe drop in income after the Congress government introduced free bus travel for women in the State. Struggling to cope with mounting financial problems, he is believed to have taken the extreme step.
He had gone missing from home on Friday, and his body was found floating in Kandi lake on Sunday. Balaraj is survived by his wife and two daughters. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
