Automobile theft gang held in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Balapur police busted an automobile theft gang involved in auto-rickshaw theft cases and arrested eight persons including six receivers on Thursday. Hyderabad: The Balapur police busted an automobile theft gang involved in auto-rickshaw theft cases and arrested eight persons including six receivers on Thursday. Police recovered three auto-rickshaws and tyres, all worth Rs 6 lakh.
The arrested persons are Syed Abdullah, Mohd Irfan Khan, Mir Nazeer Ali, Mohd.Wajid Ali, Mir Maqsood Ali, Mohd.Zafferuddin, Mohd.Kareen and Mohd.Ahmed.
Police said Syed Abdullah and Irfan Khan who are close friends and auto-rickshaw drivers, started stealing auto-rickshaws and sold them to the other suspects. Recently, they stole a vehicle from Kothapet in Balapur. Based on a complaint, Balapur police booked a case and arrested the gang.
